A fun introduction to the science behind solving a (non-violent) crime. We will study techniques used by detectives and forensic scientists to identify criminals, solve mysteries and problem solve. This class is hands-on, sometimes messy, and very fun. We will make connections between solving real life crimes and the processes used to identify dinosaurs, make medicines and even create a painting. Come ready to think logically, and solve a mystery.

The History of an Artist, Life of a Scientist

DaVinci is a prime example of how art and science not only complement each other but are essential to each others success. Come explore the life, inventions, and artistry of this amazing man as we make our own connections, sketch in a rose garden, dissect the parts of a machine and learn to recognize the details and artistry in the world around us. This class has a field trip to the Salt Lake City rose garden in the middle of the course. Parents are required to attend.
